Our Team

Matt Harris
Founder & President
As President of Coreprime, Matt oversees the management and strategic growth of the firm. Matt’s leadership and industry expertise has enabled Coreprime to become one of the fastest-growing Employee Benefits advisory firms in the Western U.S.
Matt is active in both the Nevada and Southern California business communities. Matt currently serves on the Board of Directors of the UNLV Football Foundation and is an active member of the USC Alumni Club of Las Vegas, the USC Alumni Group of Orange County, the Northern Nevada USC Alumni Association, and the LMU MBA Alumni Association. Matt played football at the collegiate level with both USC (2000-2001) and UNLV (2001-2003).
Holding a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of Southern California and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, Matt resides in Las Vegas with his wife and four daughters.

Jackie Burkhead
Director of Account Management
Jackie brings 15+ years of human resources experience to the Coreprime Team. Prior to joining Coreprime, Jackie served as the HR Director for a large, multi-state law firm headquartered in Las Vegas. Having previously worked in a management capacity on the employer-side of benefits, Jackie is able to provide invaluable insight and guidance regarding the complex benefit questions and HR issues that our clients face.
As Director of Account Management, Jackie oversees the preparation of new group proposals, renewal strategies, implementation and administration of small and large group benefit programs, and all ongoing client support initiatives.
While originally a Hoosier, Jackie has called Nevada her home for over 20 years. She enjoys spending her down-time with her partner Eric and their two basset hounds.

Steve Harris
VP, Employee Benefits
As VP of Employee Benefits for Coreprime, Steve Harris oversees the corporate employee benefit programs for some of the region’s largest employers. Steve’s expertise in streamlining the employee benefits administration process has quickly made him one of the top employee benefits advisors in the region.
Born and raised in Las Vegas, Steve brings deep relationships and local expertise to the Coreprime Team. A graduate of Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Steve received a football scholarship to play quarterback at the University of New Mexico. Steve played three seasons under head coach Rocky Long before having his career cut short due to a back injury. Following his football career, he went on to study Business Administration at the University of San Diego.
Having previously served as an Accounting/HR Specialist for the largest title insurance company in Nevada, Steve brings a wealth of real-world Benefits & HR experience to the Coreprime Team. Steve knows first-hand the pain points that employers face in managing their employee benefit programs, and is relentless in streamlining the process for Coreprime groups across the region.

Dylan Check
Account Executive
As Account Executive, Dylan is responsible for the day-to-day servicing and management of groups across the region, preparing renewal strategies, and assisting with the implementation of new clients. Having previously served in numerous roles with UnitedHealthcare, Dylan brings a wealth of insurance knowledge to Coreprime’s clientele. His time spent with UnitedHealthcare allowed him to gain experience and insight into the client service, financial forecasting, and sales strategies for the largest health insurance company in the country.
A native of Las Vegas, NV, Dylan brings established relationships and an understanding of the needs and concerns clients have in regard to their employee’s benefits. A graduate of Faith Lutheran High School in Las Vegas, Dylan accepted a scholarship to play NCAA Division 2 Lacrosse at Westminster College in Salt Lake City, UT. Dylan played four seasons while attending Westminster, during which he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Finance and was named captain his senior season.
